This is a study in creating lines with different characteristics. Note the contrast between the organic lines in the fingerprint and the mechanical grid in the background.
I created this piece as a sample for an article I wrote for the April/May issue of Quilting Arts magazine, called “Thread Sketching 101, Lesson 2: Focus on Line.”
